Authorizing Access to Educational Records
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) is a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. Parents/guardians may initially assist their high schoolers through the High School ACCESS application process. After a student is matriculated and activated as a non-degree student, high schoolers will need to individually authorize the release of their educational record to a parent, guardian, or other third parties, through their Buff Portal account.
Vaccination Requirements for Non-Degree Students and Auditors
All non-degree students and auditors residing in the state of Colorado must meet the campus vaccination requirements.
Non-degree students and auditors born on or after January 1, 1957 must submit proof of two (2) doses each of the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccination. If you have previously submitted these during an earlier term, you do NOT need to resubmit.
Learn more about the vaccination requirements and submission for non-degree students and auditors on the Health & Wellness Requirements Page.
If you have questions about these requirements, please contact whc-immunizations@colorado.edu.
